We have made efficiency improvements in our factory!

A major technological upgrade was completed at our plant on the outskirts of Szeged, with the main aim of increasing our production efficiency and adapting to changing market needs.

The investment, which was supported by the European Union and the Hungarian state, has led to improvements in production and internal logistics efficiency.

We purchased an internal logistics system for the automated feeding of large bottles arriving at our factory as raw materials, ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of the cutting tables.

As a result of the increased production capacity, it was also necessary to increase the in-house material handling capacity.To ensure this, 2 pedestrian-guided and 2 electric forklift trucks were purchased, as well as a flexible glass storage racking system with a load capacity of more than 560 tonnes, which can be easily organised according to requirements.

These are tools that will help to make logistics processes smoother and provide cover for optimum material flow.

We have also purchased 3 ergonomic hydraulic glass lifting devices to help our staff work more comfortably and efficiently. On the one hand, this protects the physical safety of our colleagues, as glass structures weighing tens or sometimes hundreds of kilos do not have to be moved by hand, and on the other hand it reduces the number of damages, the scrap rate and the possibility of accidents.

In line with these and our other developments and digitisation efforts, we have also developed our IT backend system during the project. The increasing size of the plant as technology was developed required a robust expansion of existing IT capacity.

To implement a modern, future-proof IT infrastructure, we implemented a large-scale expansion of our systems. These acquisitions have laid the foundations for future technological advances and support the implementation of a broader spectrum of digitalisation.
