Matelac glasses

Matelac is glass with one side stained and the other side acid-etched. Thanks to the sophisticated acid etching, a silky effect is achieved. The high quality paint coating on the back of the glass gives the glass a beautiful opalescent appearance.

Matelac offers many possibilities for indoor use: wall cladding, doors, tables, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes.

Available in the following colours:

Matelac Palette

All Lacobel and Matelac colours can be used indoors in wet/humid areas (bathrooms and kitchens), but cannot be immersed in water. Lacobel and Matelac products must be protected against any water infiltration from the back of the glass (use a silicone product for joints).

Metallic ("Aluminium Rich", "Copper Metal", "Grey Metal", "Taupe Metal") and "Starlight" ("Black Starlight", "Brown Starlight") colours must follow a specific orientation during processing and installation due to the special pigments used. The other colours in the colour range are applied isotropically (i.e. the paint layer has no orientation). For metallic and "Starlight" colours, SAFE and SAFE+ safety films must be used to provide extra protection on the back of the glass when applying the silicone. See. See installation instructions at www.yourglass.com.

Lacobel and Matelac glass can be grinded, drilled, but as a general rule not tempered!
