The innovative science and engineering building at the University of Limerick was constructed as part of the Bernal Project and was since awarded the Irish Building Project of the Year at the Irish Building and Design Awards 2016 in Dublin.

More than 1,700 square meters of architectural glass were used, 1,300 of them on the facade during the project.

This project is a good example that any kind of pattern in any size can be made with the ceramic printing technology we use.

The building, located in Winchester, England, was originally built by the Earl of Airlie in 1856 while he served as Camp Commandant at the nearby Peninsular Barracks military base. As time went by, the former residents split the original building into two modestly sized dwellings later in the 1950s.

The current owners’ love for glass has further shaped the historic building’s look, as a result of which it received its present form: with the help of glass, they transformed the historic building into a modern residential one.

The highest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa (Kalifa Tower), also known previously as the Burj Dubai, which rises to 828 metres. This world-record building, was opeed to the public on 4th of January, 2010.

Besides its world-record height, it is famous for other records as well: the world highest swimming pool is located here (76th floor), along with the world’s highest night club (144th floor) and restaurant (122nd floor). The Khalifa Tower features the world’s fastest elevators, which travels at 18 m/s (64 km/h).

The building is covered by more than 174 000 square metres of SunGuard and ClimaGuard Low-E glass panes. Each built-in glass pane weighs362 kgs, which is quite heavy in and of itself, not to mention the total weight of the panels.

Following its reconstruction, the building of Harlem Hospital Center in New York received magnificent glass murals.

The ceramic printed glass mural on the hospital’s facade is based on the work of African-American artist Vertis Hayes, titled “Pursuit of Happiness”..

The 3676-square-meter printed image consists of 429 pieces of laminated safety glass, which viewed from the street creates the impression of a monumental mural.

The modern printed work of art shows off its real beauty at night, when the interior lights of the hospital building bring the breathtaking colors to life.

The 430 meters long glass bridge that stretches about 300 meters high between cliffs is located in the scenic. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Southern China.

The floor of the bridge consists of three layers of tempered glass sheets; the 99 sheets of glass are 3x4.5 meters in size and 15 millimeters thick. The bridge is not only breathtaking but also up-to-date, since the damaged glass elements can be easily replaced.

The bridge was opened to the public in August 2016, and since then has been visited by thousands of tourists every day for a bit of excitement and - of course - for a stunning view.

Above the Canadian Sunwapta Valley, you can admire from a bird’s-eye view the glittering glaciers, mountain peaks and wildlife spread out below.

The 30-meter long Glacier Skywalk, opened in 2014, is located 280 meters above Jasper National Park, in Canada's Sunwapte Valley.

The glass system used for the skywalk consists of four layers, of which the lower three are fixed tempered safety glasses. The fourth, that is, the top glass layer plays a special role, because the visitors walk on it, therefore it can easily be changed if it is scratched or a small piece breaks out of it.

A rush of adrenaline is guaranteed at the skywalk, especially near the railing.
